01.08.2015 — Sirota & Partners Go for Road Show to China

As part of the Global Marketing initiative USCGITA and CCCEM together with Mackrell International organized a business trip to China and Hong Kong from 18th to the 25th July, 2015. Artem Sirota took part in this business trip and spent a whole week learning on site current market trends and establishing contacts with possible customers, partners and decision-makers from politics and economics.

19th to the 22nd July Mr. Sirota spent in Beijing having several meetings with business people and government officials. Among others a meeting with Ministry of Commerce and in particular with the Ambassador and the President of CWTO Sun Zhenyu was arranged. This meeting aimed at liaising with Chinese policy-makers and discovering main opportunities for foreign companies providing legal services to build links and connections.

On the 22nd of July the delegation of approximately 200 people traveled to Shanghai where they met with the Executives of the Shanghai Wai Gao Qiao Free Trade Zone. Wai Gao Qiao Free Trade Zone offers promising prospects for foreign businesses. To date, over 12000 companies have been registered inside the FTZ. Being familiar with the competitive advantages of the FTZ allows us to provide assistance to our clients who are interested in selling goods and products in China.

On Friday USCGM members left Shanghai to arrive in Hong Kong later that day. Afternoon meeting with the senior executives of Agricultural Bank of China International was arranged. ABCI has the largest retail reach in China with over 320 Million consumer accounts and 2.8 Million business accounts. The objective of this meeting was to understand the needs of the ABC Chinese clients and assess how we may work with their clients through the ABCI platform.

This business trip can be regarded as continuation of our practice development in the Asian region. Sirota & Partners has successful practice history of 8 years advising representatives of the private companies from China and Hong Kong.

It not a secret that the relations between Russia and China are steadily developing and come to the new level. Thus we consider that the number of companies, which will want to access the Chinese market, will grow as well as the necessity for reliable law firms that are familiar with specific features of business in China and have strong links to business world of this region.
